To strengthen our position as a leading European payment platform, we’re looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Stockholm.

About the Role
This is an individual contributor role for someone who wants to own their impact and shape real outcomes. You'll join a cross-functional team made up of engineers, a product manager, and an engineering manager, working closely together to build and evolve the backend of our product. You'll be involved early, helping define solutions, not just implementing them.

How we work is a big part of this role. Engineers here are trusted to take a problem, understand it deeply, and drive it forward. That means working closely with Product, shaping solutions together and caring about what happens after things go live.

You’ll spend most of your time building and evolving core parts of the product. A big part of the role is also working with what’s already there. You’ll improve existing solutions, deal with technical debt where it matters and make sure we can handle increasing scale and complexity as we grow.

We believe AI is a natural part of modern software development and encourage developers to use it in their daily work to explore solutions, improve quality, and reduce repetitive tasks. We see good developer judgment as key: knowing when to trust AI, when to challenge it, and how to use it to create real value.

What we look for

• Experience working with backend development in PHP, Python or similar languages

• Comfortable working closely with Product in defining problems and shaping solutions

• Comfortable taking ownership of features through to production and following up on how they perform

• Take responsibility for building reliable, maintainable systems that perform well in production

• Ability to break down complex problems and make pragmatic trade-offs to move things forward

Nice to have

• Experience working with payment systems or other financial services

• Experience building systems that operate at scale or across multiple markets

• Background in both B2B and B2C products
